We work as experts concerning the so-called diesel emissions scandal.

For this purpose, the ECU software of a diesel vehicle is analysed for defeat devices. These devices reduce the efficiency of the emission control system in the vehicle.

The standard “ANSI N42.45-2015: American National Standard for Evaluating the Image Quality of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) Security-Screening Systems” was implemented on a baggage scanner and integrated into the system software.

Slurm Cluster

A computing cluster was set up to train detection algorithms. The cluster administration is based on slurm and ansible. The cluster is distributed over two computer rooms. Slurm has an automatic fail-over and thus increased reliability.

Training Data Server

Construction and administration of a training data server and an associated database with metadata We use BTRFS for the training data (> 100 TByte) and a Subversion repository for the metadata.
